The short answer is that it's a spinoff alternate universe from the book series THE GUARDIANS OF CHILDHOOD by William Joyce, and the animated 2012 movie RISE OF THE GUARDIANS.

The long answer... oh my... well, it's an AU that has spawned dozens of AUs of itself.
